TODAY is the two-year anniversary of this blog.

My first post.

Tumblr continues to serve as an interesting experiment in new media. The immediacy of the platform makes it desirable to me. There is no reason why anyone needs to post as much as they do and yet we continue to do it, spurred by the ease inherent in using Tumblr. This is not necessarily a bad thing. I’ve probably learned more about the world (and interacted with more people across the globe) using Tumblr than if I had not and for that I am grateful. The internal, self-loathing bubble I used to constantly live in pre-Tumblr was exhausting to say the least.
