What I love/hate about the indie music scene is that there are always new genre’s of music to try to emulate and act as the frontrunner of indie musicians emulating that style of music.
Now we’ve got modern r&b/hip hop.
I would classify Jamie Lidell as an example of an indie take on r&b, but only in the classic sense, and his instrumentation is so beyond r&b and anything in the indie scene that he gets a well-deserved pass.
Discovery (composed of a guy from Ra Ra Riot and the SUPERCUTE keyboardist from Vampire Weekend) is ready to start the new trend.
