These Stormy Seas Came Between My Love and I…, (2010) detail of an installation by Marty Burns, part of Live Forever, a group show on display through May 26th at Concertina Gallery (2351 N. Milwaukee). This is the last show at Concertina Gallery before the wonderful apartment gallery closes. The exhibition is especially pertinent to the closing of the gallery as directors Katherine Pill and Francesca Wilmott chose artists with unique approaches to memorialization. They note, “The desire to live forever is tantalizing, and creating an enduring presence may take myriad forms.” Other featured artists in the exhibition include: Dave Dyment, Juan R. Garcia, Elise Goldstein, Megan Hildebrandt, Jason Lazarus, Tibi Tibi Neuspiel, and Ruben Nusz.
