“Under a Silent Sea” by Loney Dear

I’m not going to lie. This is probably the best use of synths I’ve heard all year. I first heard this song last night and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it since. The electronics are not overpowering even though there are many scattered throughout the song. What continues to strike me, though, is how seamlessly their executed, how effortlessly the song combines elements of piano-driven pop and minimal house music.
